London

London is one of those European cities where ringing in the New Year can be magical, and you have many options for celebrating New Year’s Eve in London. One of the most successful English traditions is to gather in one of the most popular and emblematic places of the city, Trafalgar Square. Then, after midnight, you can go to one of the many nightclubs in the city: the Arc, the Rive Gauche, the Duplex or the Madam. 

Rome

Every year, the city of Rome organizes an unforgettable evening for the New Year, organizing the Festa di Roma. What is it? It’s a big party that lasts 24 hours, with concerts and entertainment all over the city! Another original Roman tradition is to eat lentils for dinner on New Year’s Eve, as this would bring prosperity. In Rome, New Year’s Eve is mostly spent in the street, people all meet in certain squares to celebrate the new year together. For example, they meet in Piazza del Popolo and in Via dei Fori Imperiali. 

The city also organizes an incredible fireworks display not to be missed, shot from the Palatine Hill behind the Colosseum. After midnight, many tourists and locals go to the best nightclubs in the city: Shari Vari, Room 26, Goa, La Cabala, Art Café and Akab.

With a little under a year left (11th June – 11th July 2020), Euro 2021 is just around the corner!

This is an exciting event that unites football fans from all over the world, but the 2021 UEFA European Football Championship is even more special.

In 2021, we will celebrate the 60^th birthday of the European Championship competition, and to celebrate this achievement, the event will include cities from 12 different European countries.

The 12 cities were selected by UEFA officials, and Bucharest is one of them (to see the complete list of cities, please check our Sporting Events page).  

Euro 2021 in Bucharest

Romanians have a strong national tournament, so there is plenty of football infrastructure, which is why Bucharest was considered as one of the organising cities for Euro 2021.

According to the list published by UEFA officials, there will be four games for Euro 2021 in Bucharest: three groups and one in the Round of 16. Moreover, Bucharest will be the location where the participating teams will be selected into groups, in an event organised at the National Arena stadium, on November 30, 2019.

Even though it’s not the semi-finals or the final, the games that will be played for Euro 2021 in Bucharest are still a big deal. The legendary Untold Festival for electronic music has reached its fifth edition in 2019 and we simply can’t wait to enjoy the wave of fun and entertainment that’s about to hit!

The Untold festival is a major event for everyone into electronic music and it was even awarded the title of Best Major Festival by the European Festival Awards, the 2015 edition. So, there is no wonder that people from all over the world are coming to witness the magic.

When and Where?

This year, the festival will happen between August 1st and August 4th, which means the summer will be fully blooming and the sun will be shining all the way through. Also, if we consider last year’s participation, the organizers are expecting over 350,000 people!

As for the location, the festival is held each year in the Cluj-Napoca city, situated in the North-West of the country, in the mystical region of Transylvania. So, if you come early or you want to linger a couple more days after the festival, you’ll have lots of options!

Who is Coming to Untold Festival 2019?

We don’t have a confirmed list of entertainers yet, but you can make an idea by checking last year’s list.

In 2018, the Untold Festival was honoured by huge names such as Armin van Buuren, Black Eyed Peas, Tiesto, Diplo, Steve Aoki, The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Afrojack, The Prodigy, Don Diablo, Jason Derulo, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Bonobo, and more.

After his 7-hour Epic set in 2018, Armin van Buuren promised to return, so there’s a chance we see him this year as well. Still, until the organizers release the official list, we can’t tell for sure. But we’ll make sure to keep you up to date on our VIP Festivals page.
